i mean.. if it was cheap enough and well there was enough interest.. im sure carpooling could be arranged... but im trying to ascertain its cost at the mo.

As interesting as it sounds, I'd probably pass due to lack of an idea what's going on at the talk. It's clear that it's not a tutorial or the like; so is it just an expose on digital effects in film?

Sounds more like an expose than a tutorial. Looks fairly interesting, but it'll depend on how much work I'll have at the time to warrant going or not.
