Might be a bit off topic but hey it is a game and it is entertainment.

This is something i know Jeebuz has been trying to do for the past 2-3 years, which is get everyone in multimedia to get together and play paint ball... that is first through third year multimedia. This would be a great way to send off the third years who are leaving at graduation next year, and also be a good way for everyone who is staying get to know each other in a team based environment (camaraderie and all that fun stuff)... and shoot them. I would like to know how many people would be interested as soon as possible because it requires the field to be booked, minimum 20 dollar deposit per person and the organization of transport (and if we can get more than 20 people, we get free pizza)

Addendum.

It might be best for a half day package if this goes ahead (8:30am-12:30pm and 1pm - 6pm)

Half Day Packages

    * Sniper: $40/200 balls
    * Grunt: $70/400 balls
    * Veteran: $95/600 balls
    * Commando: $170/1000 balls and FREE ION UPGRADE

i think its quite logical, they are following the UBISOFT line of thinking which requires you to authenticate your Disc before you are able to play the game.

it is why it is best to choose a single 3d program and stick with it for the duration of the project; in this situation a single asset, such as your character, if it is being modelled in blender, it should be UVed and animated in blender and so on for other programs. This saves time dicking around with problems such as the one you are facing right now. As for preserving Uv's between blender and Maya, unless there is a specific plugin that allows you to preserve the Uv's going between the two programs i dont think it will be possible to conserve the Uvs.

This model has no UV's which would explain why the textures aren't 'working' or not showing properly, so you are correct. However you cant simply 'generate' UV's in Maya which dont require dicking around to properly utilize. For a cheap 'dirty' UV you could always try using simply an automatic map, cylindrical map or a sphere map which you can find under the Create UV's menu. However to get UV's that you can Properly use and that have some resemblance of the model there is no quick way about it.
