i forgot to add, if your not confident in building it yourself once youve got all your parts (haha looking back i really shouldnt have been building mine...) most pc stores will build it for you if you provide the parts for a labor fee of like 40 or so bucks i think

most people that build their own pc's from custom parts do so because they are either hardcore geeks, or are just really into getting the most out of their computer.  either way you pretty much need to research the s*** out of every part of the pc.  i did this many many years ago when i built my own pc.  i forget most of the sites i frequented to do this, but one i can still remember is:

they have heaps of professional, in-depth, and unbiased reviews of lots of hardware and alike.

i also went to loads of aussie pc store websites with build it yourself thingos to get a decent grasp of pricing and what is compatible with what.  youll be able to find loads of these at:

basically they are a price and comparison searcher of hardware parts (shopbot has everything, not just pc parts) from online stores all over australia.  its a good way to quickly find who has what for how much, plus it gave me links to stores with those build it yourself thingos i mentioned earlier.  you can save heaps by using these, when i bought my pc parts i had my big list of parts i wanted, and searched for them all individually.  from that i worked out the best value for money way of buying them - which i think was from 2 or 3 separate stores across the country, and i then got my parts couriered to me in 3 different packages.

also, when you think you have it all worked out what parts you want, join up (even if its temporarily) to some nerdy forum and start a thread asking about your list, and if these uber geeks have any suggestions and stuff.  i havnt used any since i made my pc, but im pretty sure i was on these:

phew, that was epic!  hope ive helped

massive fan of evangelion!  was basically my bible through years 7-9 or so.  watched rahxephon too but it just didnt click for me the way eva did.  the characters were just so bland.  i fell asleep countless times trying to get through the series!  as far as the concepts and stories go i far preferred eva too, it just seemed so much more powerful.  oh well just my 2 cents...

i mean seriously, it looked terrible from the moment i saw the trailer!  the whole series is shocking! so bad! am i the only person who thinks the 3d spiderman is a f***ing blobby disgrace? somehow all the hideous trailers and publicity convinced the world this movie would somehow be good!  and how bout that wagga exclusive trailer they cut for forum6... even worse!

but then again i dislike any superheroes dressed in red and blue...  so yea im biased.  but seriouslly!  so bad!

hmmm maybe people got the wrong impression from my previous posts?

like ormo too, im not the biggest rap fan myself, but the genre has taken influences, and indeed influenced from so much in the world over the last 40 or so years that it would just be plain ignorant to poo poo it based on the mainstream/commercial stuff of recent years.  im sure plenty of people (possibly even some of yourselves!  :o) at some point or another would have listened to and enjoyed something from rap influences, whether they knew it or not!

ugh. cant be bothered defending it anymore than that though...

p.s. chicken ->   sigur ros = the goods!

no just from past experiences i have found people whose music taste primarily consists of some of those listed here already are pretty guarded and quick to slander all things 'dance'.  i usually keep my music tastes to myself in old wagga town for this very reason, which is a shame considering how passionate i am about music.

when i say dance though, yes i am refering to techno, but moreso breakbeat, funk, electro, house, tech-house, electronica, progressive, and a bit of minimal (if anyone knows what im on about there, then good!)

to answer the question of the thread though, although extremely hard to pick, i would have to say my fav band/group would be either the prodigy, or plump djs

rap isnt music! its just a beat and a horny black guy.

as i said, bitches, bling, and guns are only a small part of what 'rap' is.  theres far more 'music' out there that doesnt simply consist of a drum + some toey afro-american.

i like everything as long as its good, although ill have to admit my tastes tend to sway towards the 'dance' side of things.  im guessing this will be considered blasphemous in this rock filled thread though!
