The first few episodes drew me in something schocking, major addiction. But then part of that was the wanting to get answers to the many questions of the island. But we havn't really EVER got any, its like lost has a point to make but is so friggen long winded about it you just get sick of the winding storyline and get jack of waiting for them to actually GIVE out details. so yeah...not a fan of LOST anymore...

gah the last year or so I've been tempted to starve myself for a few weeks so I can try and afford a DS but then I wonder how much my uni work would suffer...I get addicted to things FAR too easily ( changes bannana bag on his Coffee IV drip ) aaaah perky  ;)
I really wanted to play animal crossing! :$

I LOVE the show honestly. Woot save the cheerleader save the world!
But then Im a whore for anything like this hehe. It kills me that we are still on rez period, as I don't download things at uni, too expensive, but the uni network always has stuff and Im DYING for the new episodes that have just started coming out again, especially after the cliffhanger in "parasite" .
Im liking the special effects anyways, I loved claires healing of all the burns and everything in "Company man" She looks so freaky at the start of it all. Hehe.
So myeah, Im a fan of the series, and Im dying for more episodes. I found about ten episodes on the network before it even started playing in australia, and I basically had a whole heroes fest, and watched most of them in succession. *drool* I want to find out who does the special effects for it...

I used particles and little bit of wind turbulence. thats all :)

In my defence I can't really render particles on my laptop *blush*

Righto here we go, This is part of a demo reel from Marek Denko, moving stills its lowered quality but you can still see what I mean with dust motes.
ITs pretty funky I must say, but ANYWAYS. This is kinda what I want to know how to do...and why is it only just NOW occuring to me to actually try and e-mail the guy and ask him since he obviously knows HOW?!.... HO...MY...GOD...
IM going to go beat my head against the brick wall of my own stupidity... gah... e-mail found and written to.
I'll post any information if he gives any...sigh

They are both ones that I have looked at before, but thanks for the links anyways. I know how to make light fog, and even to have the whole lil dinky depth things where objects block the lights. Just...ugh its crushing me...maybe if I can show you what I'm thinking...humm...time to go through some demo reels...

I cannot stand Brendan fraiser to tell you the truth, the two movies were painful to watch for both brendan and rachel. PAINFUL. So freaking feel good and be happy. By the end of the 2nd movie the mother/love interest should have been a decaying zombie CORPSE. That would have been far more interesting than "ooh look at me, IM healed without a wound blah blah blah" BUllcrap. the rock as a scorpion was a lame ender too.Feh. the only part I ever liked were the rotting effects on the mummy. But thats just me :D

Effects / Dust motes

OK I've searched like a biotch over the internet yet still this one SIMPLE seeming lil trick is lost to me. I want to know how to create dust specs and motes in lighting effects. Such effects as the dust swirling in a single beam of sunlight from an old window. But I am at a loss as to how to do this, all my lil tests and trials have given me somewhat of a result but nothing that looks good, or is close enough to being what I want.

I am curious, does anyone else have any idea how you'd go about making dust motes?
