2d Character Animation in After Effects
« on: June 06, 2007, 11:10:58 AM »
There are a couple of 303 students doing 2d character animation, so I thought I'd put this link up. Its a tutorial about how to animate characters in Aftereffects using parenting constraints.

http://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_page_wrapper.cgi?forumid=1&page=http://www.creativecow.net/articles/ebberts_dan/layer_looping/index.html

Its pretty cool. Not a complete overview tho, concentrating more on character loops than anything else.
Just because you can, it doesn't mean you should.

Unless its cool.

Well I used it so thanks, as I didn't know anything about the program or how to parent objects or even to change the anchor point.. I have learnt a lot about the basics of After Effects through this assignment.. Here's a pic of my character with it's points parented (just because I had it lying around).
