cheep cheep cheep.
Hokay well since its local and I don't have to get it shipped here and I'd rather it ASAP.
Im looking into just getting a box, and going from there, I have customised it to..uh...cull things that cost money that I already have in my laptop anyways, and with my external Im not too fussed about a giant harddrive, I've managed with my 40gig laptop harddrive for the last 3 years anyways. So here we go:
wanting to run XP because vista would require 5 times as much RAM :)

$877 with minimised thingoes. JUST FOR BOX!!

CPU - Dual core intel 2 duo 6320(2x1.8ghz)
CPU coolder - standard intel
Mainboard - Asus via al PCI.E
Graphics - NVIDIA 8500GT 256mb
case- standard super case (2x9 fan )
psu - 450W generic
1GB RAM DDR2 667
cd rom
Sata 80gb HD

So for what I am getting does that seem reasonable? Yes no maybes?

Like Zam was saying earlier in the year about speed modelling and the like, it'd be funky to set up versus contests between either two people or large groups of people. Much like CG society have their big competitions based on an overall theme it'd be great to have something like that going during the holidays so no one sinks into a stupour or whatever.
Anyone up for a competition ? :D
