Title: Mmmmmmmmmmmm Mac!
Post by: damian on June 07, 2007, 01:45:05 PM
Oh I love my Mac. I have an old G4 laptop which has worked day and night for me since 2002. It has worked on films, albums and also used to run my bussiness. I have been looking around for a new Mac for my studio as it was getting close toretirement for such a workhorse.  At this point the logical upgrade to handle the grunt would be a new Mac Pro. As a matter of urgency I needed a new computer... fast. So I looked online, and then rang the Apple store here in Wagga Wagga. Within an hour I had possession of the new 20" iMac. Up until last weekend I was an iMac snob and thought that these computeres were only good for receptionists... OH HOW I WAS WRONG!!! This beast ROCKS!!! The thing I love about my Mac's is the fact that they just work.

What's the specs/cost of such a beast?
Or is that a PC question? I'm not used to Mac interaction...
...
Though I keep trying to copy things by pressing the 'apple command' button...

I'm actually curious as well. The prices are on the official website but customization really messes with it. A Macbook Pro would probably be a better choice for me due to the convenience of its size (being a laptop and all), but they're just so damn expensive!

Once you go Mac you do not want to go back!!!

For an excellent iMac you can expect tp pay about $2500. This is with 2 gb Ram- and probably all that you need.
You can also take off 10% for student discount.

until you cant find the off button.

Also because you sold every pc and accessory you own just to purchase the Mac, and there is no money left to go back.

I hope that was as useful for you as it was for me.
Please note: The 'on' button is also conveniently located in the same position as the 'off' button. But that's where it just gets confusing.

"I like this handle here on the top of the mac. It allows you to attach a chain and use it as a BOAT ANCHOR!"

Mac or PC.... does it really matter?

the only thing that really matter is that we all beat on Linux users

PENGUINS BELONG AT THE POLES... NOT YOUR DESKTOP... OR LAPTOP... OR PDA's
