Might be a bit off topic but hey it is a game and it is entertainment.

This is something i know Jeebuz has been trying to do for the past 2-3 years, which is get everyone in multimedia to get together and play paint ball... that is first through third year multimedia. This would be a great way to send off the third years who are leaving at graduation next year, and also be a good way for everyone who is staying get to know each other in a team based environment (camaraderie and all that fun stuff)... and shoot them. I would like to know how many people would be interested as soon as possible because it requires the field to be booked, minimum 20 dollar deposit per person and the organization of transport (and if we can get more than 20 people, we get free pizza)

It might be best for a half day package if this goes ahead (8:30am-12:30pm and 1pm - 6pm)

Half Day Packages

    * Sniper: $40/200 balls
    * Grunt: $70/400 balls
    * Veteran: $95/600 balls
    * Commando: $170/1000 balls and FREE ION UPGRADE

« on: August 22, 2007, 12:11:47 PM »
As most of you should already know, next week starting the 27th is Zombie awareness week. It is a week where the exploits of the empty-headed masses(zombies in case you were confused) are made apparent to the other empty-headed masses(Id est, You). So if you see a crummy poster, or a flyer on a table in the nosh pit, read it as it may include essential zombie infestation survival information.

*disclaimer:- flyers and posters may not actually appear

Community Projects / Project: Wound up.
« on: May 22, 2007, 12:45:42 AM »

A wind up toy seeks immortality.

A wind up toy is wound for the first time and starts moving around, at first oblivious to what is keeping him alive, he then makes the connection. each time he moves, the key in his back turns, he didn't know exactly how long he had left so he frantically starts to devise ways to keep the key wound. At first its string, tired to an anchor to hook the key to turn it, it worked for a short period of time but was only a stop gap measure. He manages to create a obscene rig that would help him attain his goal, it starts and it winds up his key but goes to far  and the key pops out causing his spring to un-spool. He frantically chases after the key with this rig on his back finally getting to it and is about to return it and activate the machine when he runs out of time.

Ive already talked to a few people in regards to this and brought, so far, two people on board to this project... i think or was it one. Either way its an idea ive been thinking about for a while and will become at tool for me to expand my horizons and start using stop motion animation.

Ive talked to John lewis (i think) the master behind 'bird house' to find out a starting point for stop motion animation, i also talked to Malcolm as well to see what he though of the idea and what would be the focuses to make it a worth while animation and not just 'cutsie s***'

im just curious to see if people would like to see this done, lend a hand in anyway from spare parts for props to money etc.

Movies / Spider man 3
« on: May 06, 2007, 10:48:44 PM »
just got back from seeing it... not a bad movie though i probably still prefer the first two over this one.

Director of photography needs to be shot. I had a lot of trouble being able to focus on the fight and action scenes through out the movie because there were so many cuts here and there and so much blur... i seriously have a headache after watching this film.
