Community Projects / Re: Post-Animation Festival
« on: May 21, 2007, 10:54:14 PM »
A shared sentiment, the festival was amazing, that what I saw.
I think all the screened animations where fantastic, it gives an appreciation for each artists individual and specific visual aesthetic, some not as “refined” as others, yet just as interesting.
Again as above, cheers Hages, Damien and Malcolm for their involvement and organisation of the festival.

Web / Re: Animation festival...
« on: May 15, 2007, 10:03:50 PM »
If you have the ability to view the material and you choose not to that’s your prerogative. And the fact you have the will power to do that is great and shows the dedication, effort and appreciation of the people who acquire the best animation possible for the students and animation fans.

Some people may not be able to attend festival but they can see what their missing out on, some unlikely, may be in two minds about going and this may push them over the edge into a animation fueled frenzy and rush down and buy a ticket as some people need a small taste of what is expected at the festival, I believe this is known as a teaser…

Yes it is low quality, yes it may be even be on youtube against the artists will, but now watching it I know. A) that is was amazing, b) I want to know more about the artist and have googled them because of watching and c) I know what caliber to expect at the festival.

Thank you for the posted link.

Usually anything that is touched by Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, Chris Cunningham, Paul Gore, Mark Romanek,  Jonathan Glazer, Anton Corbijn, and Stéphane Sednaoui turns out to be a cool clip.

Music / the most Caucasian thread ever!!!
« on: May 07, 2007, 10:48:20 AM »
rap isnt music! its just a beat and a horny black guy.

controversial!...i love it!!!
but seriously..thats the most generalised statement ever. i'm not the biggest rap fan, but its a serious genre of music and there are many different facets and branches of rap that aren't so "bitches and gats". I spose the best thing about about rap is theres not groups trying to be Pearl Jam *cough* Creed *cough*. but each to their own and granted i'm a big fan of Chincy, Glam, Kamp as F#*& 80s music so i can't point the finger.

i like music from metal, industrial, FKN love 80s, Synth, Synth pop, Synth pop electro indie, electro, indie electro and world music.

So there aren't many beastie boys fans here then?..i guess they fall into the rap genre..

But most of all i'm a massive David Bowie fan.
