Maya Example Rigs
« on: August 24, 2008, 05:30:37 PM »
hey guys
did hages say we could use a rig that was on maya tutorials or something? or was it just a tutorial on how to make a rig...
i have one that ive made.. twice.. but it still needs some refining and since its getting so close to being due im stressing out a bit and just need a real rig that i can animate then if i get that done in enough time i'll go back to my rig and play around some more..
but i forget where it is and if we are allowed to use it and such and such.
cheers

Hages said there is a rig in the maya 2008 unlimited (etc etc) version under Skeleton> Full Body IK > Get FBIK Example ... then you right click and import it into your scene.

I have played around with it and found it rather annoying but it does look kinda cool and easy to play with.

Hope this helps. I am unsure about if we can use it though.

maya tutorials have been put on each computer in the lab, but u also have the option of using the preset rig within maya,  you to skeleton> fullbody IK> GetFBIK Example and then middle mouse button click and drag the IK into ur scene...
hope this helps!  ;)
(i was typing this before Tia replied.... so i thought i'd go ahead and post it anyway)
